An interactive tree view of the XDM schema associated with any dataset contributing to the profile's identity graph. Use it to navigate to specific fields and trigger dynamic edit forms.

## Dataset selector

The dropdown lists all datasets sourced from the profile's identity graph. Selecting a dataset loads its full XDM schema in the left panel.

Example: selecting Demo System - Website Profile Dataset (Global v1.2) loads the website profile schema with all its field groups.

Use the **Search schema…** input at the top of the tree to filter nodes by field name — useful in large schemas with many nested field groups.

## Schema tree structure

The schema renders as a collapsible tree. Each node shows the field name, an asterisk \* if the field is required, the field type (Object, String, Boolean, etc.), and an expand arrow for objects with children.

### Typical top-level field groups

| Field group                  | Description                                         |
| ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| identification               | Identity fields (ECID, Email, etc.) — **read-only** |
| individualCharacteristics | Demographic and contact attributes |
| scoring                      | Propensity and ML-derived scores                    |
| demoEnvironment              | DSN-specific meta fields                            |
| \_adobeamericaspot5(example) | Tenant-scoped custom attributes                     |

## Triggering an edit form

:::BlockQuote
💡 **Double-click any field or object** in the schema tree to generate a dynamic edit form for that node. The form is pre-filled with the profile's current values. Read-only fields (system and identity) are rendered as disabled inputs and cannot be modified.
