This page shows you what you can accomplish with the Adobe Journey Optimizer mcp server using natural language prompts, from quick campaign lookups to status audits and channel configuration reviews — without writing api calls or navigating product screens.

**Prerequisites** 

- Access to Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO)
- Access to Claude Web or Claude Desktop or ChatGPT Enterprise
- View permissions in Adobe Journey Optimizer for campaigns and offers

**Connect the AJO MCP Server** 

To connect from Claude Desktop or Claude Web:

1. Open your MCP client settings and add a new MCP server
2. Enter the server URL https\://ajo-mcp.adobe.io/mcp
3. When prompted, complete the Adobe IMS OAuth login with your Adobe Experience Cloud credentials
4. Select the organization **Adobe Demo System Shared. **Select either the Luma, CitiSignal, or SecurFinancial Public Project sandbox within the Adobe Demo System Shared demo org.
5. Once authenticated, all tools are immediately available

**Note:** While you can connect it to any demo org, we recommend using ADSS, as it is the primary demo org and provides scalable demo readiness for AJO across the global field organization.  

Try *"Show me all my Journey Optimizer campaigns"* to verify the connection.

All tools are read-only — the MCP server surfaces retrieve APIs as plain-language answers. Write operations (creating, updating, or deleting objects) are not supported in the current Beta release. If the MCP client provides an out-of-the-box connector, the recommended approach is to use that connector for the connection. For example, you may not need to add the server URL or create an app in Claude, since the connector is already available out of the box.

| Audience & targeting  | What audience is targeted in campaign \[ID]? What eligibility rules are set?                    |
| Schedule & timing     | When is campaign \[ID] scheduled to run? Is it a one-time send or recurring?                    |
| Troubleshooting       | Why might campaign \[ID] not be sending? Review the setup for any issues.                       |
| Channel configuration | What channel presets are available in my sandbox? Show me all my email channel configurations.  |
| Channel audit         | Which channel configurations are missing or incomplete? How many do I have across all channels? |
