2. Search a Profile
Locate an AEP Real-time Profile by specifying an identity namespace, value, and industry vertical. The tool resolves the full identity graph and loads the profile's current state into both panels.
Search fields
Field | Description |

Identity namespace | The namespace type for the lookup key. Common values: Email, ECID, Phone, Loyalty ID. Determines how AEP resolves the identity graph. |
Identity value | The actual identifier string (e.g. [email protected]). Must correspond to an existing identity in the selected sandbox. |
Industry | Select the vertical context for the demo (e.g. FSI, Retail, Healthcare). Controls which recommended attributes are highlighted and which datasets are prioritized in the schema viewer. |
After filling all three fields, click the search button (blue icon) to run the lookup.
What happens on search
- Identity graph resolution AEP resolves all identities stitched to the supplied namespace + value pair and returns the unified profile fragment.
- Dataset dropdown population Every dataset that acts as a source in the resolved identity graph is listed in the Schema Viewer's dataset dropdown. These represent the contributing record and time-series datasets for this profile.
- Profile details pre-fill The right panel renders the profile's current attribute values in organized sections (Personal Contact, Consent & Preferences, and more), pre-filled from the live AEP profile store.
